And while the federal government has enacted sweeping new regulations that will affect the entire hemp industry, we are proud to say that Color Up has been operating above these standards for years.
We have proactively chosen to exceed the minimum requirements rather than simply meet them.

🌿 Our Stance on the New THC Limit

With the information and data we’ve gathered over the last 11 years, we fully support the ruling to dramatically lower the allowable THC content in hemp products. The new limit — 0.4 mg Total THC per container — closes the loopholes that allowed hemp companies to create intoxicating products.

That loophole is the very reason our wheels kept turning after our 2023 partnership buyout and forced name change away from the brand we spent 8 years building. We refused to build our business on a trend that was removing truth and transparency from a revolution we are, as a business operating within it, responsible for upholding.

We pioneered cannabis wellness by growing our own plants and treating ourselves and our animals long before it was legal because we saw firsthand the supportive benefits of the cannabis plant on the body, mind, and soul. Since 2015, we have faced the trials every small business must endure: gaining experience, testing stability, proving viability, and choosing sustainability over shortcuts.

It’s because of these founding principles — rooted in science, created with intention, and made with love — that almost our entire line is already aligned with the federal rules taking effect November 2026.

🌿 Which Color Up Products Are Affected?

The only Color Up products affected by the new THC limit are:

These formulas contain THC within the current legal limits for Full Spectrum products and are fully compliant through November 2026.

Every other Color Up product  already uses:

  • Non-detectable THC

This means your Color Up products will remain:

🌿 What Will Be Changing (and When)

To stay decisively ahead of the new law, and to protect both our customers and our professional partners – we will:

    ✔ Continue offering the existing Full Spectrum salves and massage oil through the first half of 2026. This gives spa partners sufficient transition time.

    ✔ Reformulate these four products into Broad Spectrum. They will join the rest of the line in a no-THC format.

    ✔ Complete all transitions before November 2026.

    At that point, all Color Up products will contain ≤ 0.4 mg Total THC per container and effectively non-detectable THC.

    You’ll still be able to use Color Up products anywhere — in all 50 states, at home, or in your treatment room — with zero legal risk and zero intoxication.

    🌿 Why We Paused Our Internal Wellness Line in 2024

    Many of you noticed that we stopped producing our internal wellness tinctures (for humans and pets) and our capsules during 2024. That decision was not about doubt, demand, or product value.

    It was about compliance, ethics, and safety.

    When MoCRA went into effect and federal hemp reform began picking up speed, the regulatory landscape for ingestible cannabinoids became uncertain.

    As responsible manufacturers, we were not willing to:
    • Sell ingestibles without federal clarity
    • Operate in a gray zone
    • Risk falling out of compliance
    • Produce internal products without the correct labs, equipment, and testing infrastructure required under the new rules
    So we made a decision that reflects who we are:

    We paused. We waited. We did not sell what we could not confidently stand behind. That has always been — and will always be — the Color Up way.

    • Transparent, rigorous testing standards
    • Deep experience in safe, legal ingestible cannabinoid products

    Full Spectrum ingestibles are one of the categories most heavily impacted under the new federal rule. With the 0.4 mg Total THC cap becoming enforceable in 2026, most Full Spectrum tinctures will become federally noncompliant.

    We refuse to:
    • Support a loophole that does not align with our mission
    • Confuse consumers or our professional partners
    • Ask retailers to buy SKUs that will be obsolete within a year
    • Risk our hemp cosmetics licensing if the laws continue shifting
    • Put our business, or our B2B Pro Partner's business, at risk, right on the heels of surviving the forced Color Up rebrand to VXN Wellness in 2023.
    Instead, we are focusing on what we have always excelled at:

    CBD skincare, body care, and Broad Spectrum wellness products that support whole-body health — without THC.

    For those who still want Full Spectrum ingestibles, we will refer you to our partner manufacturer, whose formulas we trust and verify.

    We offer internal products because they:
