For too long, product pricing can look simple from the outside: ingredients plus a margin. It is not that simple, especially in hemp-derived skincare.

The actual cost of bringing a product from Color Up to your door includes formulation and manufacturing, labels and packaging, compliant payment processing, fulfillment, shipping materials, carrier costs, the store and support systems behind an order, and the work it takes to keep a professional product line available.

We took a more honest look at that full picture. Then we changed our planning so we can make decisions based on what it truly costs to deliver a product - not just what it costs to make one.

That does not mean every product must become more expensive. It means the price needs to be intentional enough for the product, the company, and the people who rely on both to remain viable.

We are back to packing and sending Color Up orders ourselves. We love being the people who place our delicate chrome beauties in the carrier's hands on their way to our partners and customers. It keeps us close to the details that matter: how an order is packed, what arrives at your door, and the care attached to the experience.

At the same time, we partnered with a friend who began building in this industry alongside Color Up in 2015. That partnership has given us a more workable production path - one that helps us bring products back into stock and keep them there.

For a small business, large minimum orders for ingredients and packaging can absorb money long before a finished product is ready to ship. That cash has to come from somewhere, and it can quietly eat the margin needed to restock the next product. Our new approach gives us more flexibility to purchase and produce with real demand in mind, without letting unnecessary minimums dictate every decision.

This is not nostalgia for a smaller business. It is a practical operating decision: keep the hands-on care, remove a cash-flow trap, and build a structure we can manage well and stand behind.

CBD matters to Color Up. It always has. But a milligram number on the front of a label is not the whole story of a skincare formula.

For topical skincare, what matters is the full formula: the cannabinoid profile, the ingredients supporting it, the product's purpose, how it feels and performs in a routine, formulation stability, current directions, and batch documentation.

More CBD does not automatically make a skincare product more appropriate, more stable, or better for every use. The same is true of phrases like "full spectrum," "pure," or "hemp." Those labels can describe part of a product; they do not replace reading the ingredient deck, current product information, and batch-specific Certificate of Analysis when cannabinoid information matters to you.

We will keep explaining those choices plainly. We will not use a bigger label number as a substitute for a better explanation.

Free shipping is part of this current decision, not a signal that we are clearing out the brand. Shipping is real work with real costs. We are making room for it because a product can be reasonably priced and still become inaccessible after fees pile on at checkout.

The same idea is behind our return to 2023 pricing: access is not just a discount word. It affects whether someone can keep a routine they value, whether a treatment-room professional can confidently recommend home care, and whether an independent business can keep serving its community.

Color Up has long served both individual customers and licensed professionals. The old setup asked professionals to educate clients, make recommendations, and carry the relationship - while Color Up also sold the same products directly to those clients.

We are building a better structure through Color Up Professional Dispensaries: branded Color Up storefronts connected to approved professionals and independent businesses.

When you shop through a Professional Dispensary, you still buy Color Up products through Color Up's central commerce system. Color Up remains responsible for the catalog, pricing, checkout, payment processing, order handling, fulfillment, shipping, compliance, and customer support.

What changes is the connection around the purchase. An approved professional can curate Color Up products for their practice, share education and routine guidance within their scope, and participate in the value created when their clients purchase through their storefront.

If you know exactly what you want, you can simply shop. You are not being assigned a salesperson. If you want product guidance, there is a real professional connected to the storefront - not a random link on the internet.

What the Professional Dispensary mark means

It means the storefront belongs to a person or business Color Up has approved to participate in this professional program. Applicants provide the professional and business information required by the program, including credentials where applicable. Color Up reviews the application before activating a Professional Dispensary.

That approval is meaningful, but it is not a government license, a medical credential, or a guarantee that a professional is right for every person or every situation. Each partner remains responsible for their own license, scope of practice, business conduct, and customer communication. Color Up remains responsible for the products and the central commerce operation.

It also does not mean:

• a third party owns Color Up inventory or sets Color Up prices;
• a third party processes your payment or fulfills your order;
• a Professional Dispensary can add unrelated products, change Color Up product information, or make unapproved claims; or
• current product labels, directions, and batch documentation stop mattering.

• Central checkout and payment processing
• Color Up order handling, fulfillment, shipping, returns, and support
• Current labels, directions, and available Certificates of Analysis
• The ability to make your own choices about what you buy and from whom
