Why All Cannabidiol Products Are Not Created Equal

Cannabidiol products (CBD) are not all created equal. The more popularity these products gain, the more critical it becomes to understand the difference between a high-quality cannabidiol product and a low-quality one. Here are some of the key things to look for when purchasing a CBD product.

Where Does the CBD Come From?

Knowing the source of the CBD in the product you are purchasing is essential. Hemp plants are grown all over the world in places like Canada, China, Romania, Germany, and the United States, to name a few. The regulations surrounding cannabis farming and CBD production in other countries may not be up to the same standard as in the United States. The FDA regulates hemp plants grown on U.S. soil and requires them to contain no more than 0.3% THC. So, when you purchase CBD from the U.S. you can feel confident that it doesn’t contain THC, which some CBD consumers want to avoid.

    Is the CBD Organic?

Cannabidiol products that are made with organic CBD are going to be higher quality than non-organic CBD. Organic CBD is grown without the use of pesticides, GMOs, toxins, and synthetic chemicals. For something to be certified organic, that means it has to meet very strict criteria from the FDA. Hemp plants are known for absorbing toxins from whatever soil they are growing in, so if the soil is not clean, it can result in a compromised end product.

    How is the CBD Extracted?

There are a few different ways to extract CBD from a hemp plant. Cannabidiol products that are extracted using C02 extraction methods are often superior to other methods. Other methods include the use of butane, propane, or ethanol and often traces of these solvents are left in the final product. With C02 extraction, only CBD remains, resulting in a more pure, clean product.

    Are the Cannabidiol Products Tested?

Consuming a cannabidiol product that has been tested is the best way to ensure you have a high quality product. During the testing process, laboratories look for contaminants such as butane, mold, pesticides, and heavy metals. Look for CBD companies that offer a COA (certificate of analysis) for each product you intend to purchase and read it over before you make your purchase. A company that uses independent third-party testing will not be able to hide anything with it comes to contaminants in their products. Some trustworthy companies take it one step further and use 4th party lab testing, so they have ample proof that their CBD products are clean and safe.

Does the CBD Product Contain Other Quality Ingredients?

Once you know the CBD in your product is high quality, you will also want to inspect the other ingredients listed. For example, if you are purchasing a CBD lotion, you will want to make sure the moisturizers and oils used are going to be healthy for the skin and not cause an adverse reaction. The same goes for CBD products you will consume, such as CBD capsules. CBD capsules should be made with an organic carrier oil for easy absorption and digestion.

  • Why Do People Like CBD Massage Lotion

Why Do People Like CBD Massage Lotion?

    KW: CBD Massage Lotion

If you are a massage therapist, you have probably noticed CBD massage lotion gaining popularity. So, is it something you should use for your massage clients? Why do people like it?

    What is CBD Massage Lotion?

Massage lotion is created specifically for massaging into the skin. It has a slightly different consistency than regular body lotion, so it works better for massage. Its texture has enough slip to let hands glide gracefully while still allowing enough grip for the therapist to apply pressure without slipping too much. CBD massage lotion incorporates CBD into the formula to add nourishment, moisture, and an extra level of zen. Many people find that massage lotion with CBD helps clients reach a deeper state of relaxation and satisfaction with their massage.

    Hydrating and Moisturizing

When people leave the massage studio, their skin feels more hydrated thanks to the massage lotion. This is true with CBD massage lotion as well. As a massage therapist, when you work on your client's muscles, the lotion penetrates deeper and deeper into the skin and really adds moisture and hydration.

    Non-Greasy

Many people prefer massage lotion over massage oil because when it absorbs into the skin, it doesn't leave you feeling greasy or oily. CBD massage lotion is easily absorbed into the skin, so clients will be left feeling nourished but not slippery. Massage therapists that use oil may find their clients requesting a towel to wipe off afterward, so lotion can avoid this.

    Better Slip and Grip

Sometimes massage oil can be too slippery for massage therapists who like to work on trigger points. It is unpleasant for a client to feel their therapists suddenly slip off a tender area. Lotion provides a bit more grip while still allowing you to glide across the skin with ease.

    Less Messy

Sometimes massage oil can make a mess. The last thing you want is to drip massage oil on the floor and slip (or have your client slip!) CBD massage lotion is a thicker consistency than oil, so it is easier to control, and you'll maintain a clean, safe workspace.

    Nourishing to Skin

CBD massage lotion is packed with ingredients that make skin happy! The Balance Color Up CBD Massage Lotion contains organic jojoba oil, hemp seed oil, almond oil, cocoa butter, and grape seed oil to help skin retain moisture and relax tight muscles. It also contains lavender essential oil for a nice aromatherapy effect for an added layer of zen.
