Your Ultimate Resource for CBD Skincare Products
Many skincare fads come and go, so what about CBD products for skincare? Does CBD or CBD essential oils have real benefits for skin?
CBD, short for Cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring, active compound (cannabinoid) found in both the hemp and cannabis plant. CBD is most commonly utilized in oil form, which makes it ideal for adding to skincare products. High quality CBD is used in both of COLOR UP’s skin care lines, the Life and Pro lines of facial products. Our clients are able to experience the benefits of using CBD for dry skin, other skin care needs, and as part of a wellness lifestyle.
Thanks to the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill, which made industrial hemp (meaning it contains less than 0.03% THC) federally legal in the United States. CBD has no psychoactive effects, meaning people who use it don’t experience the euphoric effects or “high” like with the THC in marijuana, making it an excellent cannabinoid for daily skincare.

CBD For Acne: The Ultimate Guide
Acne is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder that affects the hair follicle. The inflammation of the skin that affects the hair follicle causes something called retention hyperkeratosis. This is triggered by inflammatory cytokines and when desquamation inside of the follicle is not happening at a “normal” rate.
According to recent studies CBD face products may have an anti-inflammatory effect on sebocytes, the skin cells that produce sebum. While research on CBD continues, the goal at Color Up is to insure our acne skin care lines help to reduce swelling, pain, and redness from existing breakouts.
CBD has a wide range of benefits for the skin; many of these benefits can be helpful for those who battle with acne, such as reducing inflammation, combatting stress hormones, fighting bacteria, regulating oil production and more.
CBD For Dry Skin – Does CBD Oil Help Dry Skin?
Itchy, flaky, red, inflamed… dry skin is something we all want to avoid! In recent years, we have started seeing the many benefits that CBD oil can have on the skin, including the potential of CBD for dry skin. So, does CBD oil help dry skin? This is a 2 part question, because there are two types of dry skin. When skin feels dry it may be due to dehydrated and in need (hydration) water internally and externally. Where as dryness refers to a skin type, while dehydration refers to a skin condition. If you have a dry skin type, it means the skin may be lacking (moisture) oil. High Quality CBD oil is found in both hydrating and moisturizing CBD skincare line products by Color Up.
